Enlightenment

As I have written about before, I am working on becoming a Certified Spiritual Life Coach. I have been attending bi-weekly Zoom classes for the past six weeks. I love the learning process and was really moved by an exercise I learned about this past week.

In order to become proficient at guiding a client through this exercise, I took a deep dive into myself to see how it works. The exercise asks you to look at something you are wrestling with inside. Do I quit my job and look for a new one? Am I in the right relationship? You know, those sort of things that preoccupy our waking thoughts daily.

I broke it down to why am I still looking back at my failed relationship with the ex narcissist. In the exercise you are asked to listen to the dialogue from both sides of your inner thoughts. You know that voice that likes to scare you to death and the one that lives in reality. One side of me was saying, but why didn’t he love me? No one will ever love you! What is wrong with you? You know that inner critic voice we all know so well.

The other voice was saying things like, you deserve better that him. You are worth more than that. You are fine just the way you are. You are then asked to ask what your higher power is saying to you; and that is when I had my moment of enlightenment. My higher power, “Spirit,” said to me, “I cleared your path because I have something much better in store for you. You just have to keep loving yourself, and I will lead you to where you need to be.”

In that moment it all clicked for me and I was able to let go of the outcome of all of this. I am heading to where Spirit wants me to be, and will be given all that I need to serve my purpose. There may even be a new love for me. Who knows, the possibilities are endless.

The exercise goes on a bit and in the end, you are asked to change both side of your thoughts into am inanimate object. I chose black dust for the thoughts of him, and pink dust for love I have for me, and the faith I have in Spirit. I had to actually look up what color you get when you mix black with pink. Do you know what color you get???? Purple, you get purple the crown chakra color. The crown chakra is about wisdom and being one with the world. Purple is the color of spirituality. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. Purple represents transformation, creativity and spiritual awareness.

Now how is that for coming full circle and achieving enlightenment? I cannot wait to share this exercise with my clients.
