How to Fall in Love with You - Step Two

We talked about immersing yourself in all things self love last time. Hopefully you have been watching others and looking for examples of behavior that says "I love me." They are out there, you just have to look for them among all the chaos.

Two of my favorite books that can really help with this journey are:

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

and

The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer

They are my go to books for learning, growing and re-enforcing all that you learn. Amazon has both of these in their used book section. That is a whole lot of learning for a bargain price. There are many other good ones out there - just find ones that speak your soul language. These two are mine.

Another great technique you can use is what I call "Play Your Movie." If they were to make a movie of your life, who would they cast to play the role of you. For me Sandra Bullock from the movie "Hope Floats." I can so relate to life falling apart and having to rebuild it again. Now think about something you are going through - not sure of the guy/gal you are dating? In a pickle at work? Scrapping with a friend? Play the movie of that scene.....really think it through.....what are you yelling at the screen to the person playing you????? How are you telling them to react to the situation? That is your personal truth coming out in that moment. That is how you really feel, because you are no longer personally attached to the outcome at the moment, you are just honestly "in" the moment.

Think of it like this. We all have watched a horror flick and yelled at the screen - run, or it's behind you....get out!!! Well what are you yelling at the screen to the person playing you dating this person who is jerking you around????? Are you saying, it's OK they treat you like crap, or are you saying....run, you deserve better. This is a great way to take a step back from something and see it for what it is.

In those moments when we are engrossed in a movie and yelling at the screen our true feelings about something come to the surface. What is coming out when you play your scene and yell at the screen???? The truth is laying there waiting for you.
