Cut and Clearing

They say to stay busy when you are feeling depressed or down, so today I did just that. My morning started off by sharing some coffee with a wonderful friend who stopped by my home to check on my mental well being. It warms my heart as I understand this is love in action, and I am blessed to have such wonderful caring friends who love me.

I decided to make an appointment with a Energy/Spiritualist today to get my energy straightened out and come up with a plan to help get myself “unstuck” from still loving him. Even though I am an empath myself, I decided it was best to call in someone else as I am too close to the subject matter this time….me. I will be spending the next few weeks doing cut and clearing rituals of the energy in my home and in me. Between that and the “erasing” hypnotherapy I think I can dig up these last few roots keeping me stuck wanting him.

I took a good look at where my life is now since he left. I have lost 40 pounds, made a few new friends on my healing path, started this blog, have restored my bank account to “Pre Michael” days, my Medium readings have picked up, the energy in the house is not so full of anger and hate, and finally, when I am not thinking about him, I am more at peace. So when I can erase/cut/clear my thoughts of him with another woman, I feel like my personal healing and journey to self love will really be able to come to fruition. I will know by the fruits in my life.

I am still doing “21 days of Mirror Work” by Louise Hay most days – I am on about day 50, but hey whose counting. I have hung pictures of myself that I am forced to see at strategic places in my home so I can start to get comfortable with what I look like. I am reading books on how to re-parent yourself, and found this great YouTube video to start the day off with. I just let it play as I am dressing for work.

I was told today to spend at least 10 seconds several times a day practicing mindfulness. Here are ways the Mayo Clinic suggests you can begin to practice mindfulness.

There are many simple ways to practice mindfulness. Some examples include:

· Pay attention. It's hard to slow down and notice things in a busy world. Try to take the time to experience your environment with all of your senses — touch, sound, sight, smell and taste. For example, when you eat a favorite food, take the time to smell, taste and truly enjoy it.

· Live in the moment. Try to intentionally bring an open, accepting and discerning attention to everything you do. Find joy in simple pleasures.

· Accept yourself. Treat yourself the way you would treat a good friend.

· Focus on your breathing. When you have negative thoughts, try to sit down, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Focus on your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Sitting and breathing for even just a minute can help.

And lastly, here is a link to a great breathing exercise you can do anytime to help bring you back to a mindful place.

I am going to add all of these practices into my daily routine. My healing and self worth are of the upmost importance to me now. Without love of self my life experiences will not improve, and I cannot stay stuck in this dark place anymore. I want to live in love and light. I am worth that, and so are you.
